The movie also touches on the pitfalls of flirting with the boss and engaging in workplace romances, both of which are generally ill-advised but still occur frequently. Lengies reprised her role in the sequel, although the cast had changed, with some key actors from the first film not returning.

Another enjoyable film featuring Lengies is the gymnastics-themed movie Stick It, in which she portrays the snobbish Joanne Charis. The film follows the main character, Haley (played by Missy Peregrym), who is forced to return to the world of gymnastics to avoid jail time or community service. Haley had previously walked out on her team during a crucial event, earning the disdain of gymnasts everywhere. Upon entering the gym, Joanne immediately becomes Haley’s enemy, displaying open hostility. The movie paints a somewhat negative picture of gymnasts, portraying many of them as stuck-up and narcissistic. However, the training depicted in the film seems accurate for high-level competitors. Lengies’ character eventually demonstrates the repressed and detached nature of some gymnasts, who, due to their rigorous training schedules, often lack a social life and experience stunted developmental growth. It’s worth noting that this portrayal may not be entirely accurate today, as even top athletes need to develop strong social skills.
