Harvey Specter of “Suits” said that you should work hard until you do not have to introduce yourself. The Kardashian and Jenner family does not need any introduction but apart from those who continuously feature in “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” some are not as famous. Brandon Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner’s eldest son, is a musician who divorced his wife in July this year. He and ex-wife were high school sweethearts, but nothing lasts forever. Here are ten facts to shed more light about him.
1. His divorce was completely amicable
Brandon and his ex-wife had the best divorce any woman would want considering the lack of drama and settlement she received. The couple separated in July 10, 2018, and their marriage was dissolved on July 15, 2019. Brandon agreed to pay Leah $2,000 monthly as spousal support until the end of 2021 while he will pay $2,000 each month to cater for their daughter Eva James until she turns 18. Brandon even paid Leah $540,000 for their Malibu house while holidays and vacations will be evenly split. It is fascinating that they spent Christmas together even after the separation and hope to continue the family tradition.
2. He moves on very fast
Most men who undergo divorce spend a lot of time licking their wounds. They wonder if they will ever find someone worthy of carrying their last name, again. Luckily for Brandon, since there was no bad blood between Brandon and Leah, his heart was not broken. He, therefore, went ahead to have a girlfriend, Cayley Stoker, and in August 2019, he announced that they were expecting twins. Since by then Cayley was three months pregnant, it is clear that Brandon had been hooking up with her even before the divorce was finalized. His daughter Eva James could not hide her excitement to be a big sister as reported in Mirror.
3. He has over a million followers on Instagram
With the last name “Jenner” it is expected that Brandon would achieve fame. However, even though being Caitlyn Jenner’s son helps with some popularity, he still has his music career that attracts fans. Hence he has 1.2 million followers. The number is low compared to his brother’s 3.3 million, his ex-wife’s 1.7 million and Caitlyn’s 9.3 million.
4. He would have become a pilot or race driver
Brandon grew up loving music, and he used to listen to it to process his emotions. As he grew older, he began writing songs to help process his feelings. However, there is always that plan “B” in case what you want does not work out. For Brandon, if his music career had not taken off, he would have become a race car driver or pilot. He was prepared to take the plunge because he has held on to his pilot license for over 25 years. As for car racing, he used to race cars, but even if those careers were successful, Brandon would not be as fulfilled as he is now with music.
5. He is ashamed of his last name
When Carrie Underwood sang “Last Name,” she made it clear knowing a person’s surname means a lot. It helps you deduce something about his family. Brandon was lucky to have the Jenner name while growing up because then it gave him a sense of pride to be associated with the former Olympian. Time has passed, and things have changed; instead of pride, he feels some shame. The family has been in the limelight with various controversies, and whenever Brandon introduces himself, he thinks people are quick to dismiss him because of the name. He adds that even his music is rubbished off because the public feels he has never had to struggle to be where he is today.
6. He is protective of his family
People can be cruel, especially nowadays when they hide their faces behind a keyboard and type anything that tears other people’s esteem. It happened to Brandon’s brother, Brody, who referred to Caitlyn Jenner as “he” and fans were quick to accuse him of misgendering. Brandon, however, defended his brother saying it was a slip of the tongue that could happen to anyone. Indeed it is understandable considering he was used to calling Caitlyn his dad, so it was normal. Besides, he had no ill intentions. Brody was telling the story of how his ex-girlfriend’s name, Kaitlynn Carter, might have inspired Caitlyn to take it up upon transitioning.
7. He encouraged his father to transition
Going from a man to a woman is not an easy decision, especially when you have children who look up to you for fatherly advice. Caitlyn Jenner knew that she could no longer postpone what she felt was meant to be. Consequently, when the time came, she decided to talk with her children. Caitlyn preferred one-on-one talks with each of her ten children to prevent them from ganging up on her. Since Brandon is her eldest son, she revealed her plans to him and ex-wife Leah. Brandon was so receptive of the idea and even told his father how proud he was. That gave Caitlyn the strength to talk with the rest of the children.
8. He has grown close to his father
Brody admitted that Caitlyn was never around when he was growing up because as soon as he was born, Caitlyn had moved on with Kris Jenner. After that, Caitlyn only saw Brandon and Brody once every couple of years according to Hollywood Life. Nevertheless, Brandon is ready to make up for lost time with Caitlyn with whom he shares a lot. For instance, they both are pilots, so they fly a lot and have lunch together. Since Brandon also loves to drive race cars, the two spend a lot of time driving around race tracks as the bond grows stronger.
9. He is supportive of his brother’s relationship
Family can get between fruition of dreams due to the constant meddling, but Brody is lucky his family is quite different. At the forefront of his relationship with Josie Canseco is Brandon, who is very supportive. When Josie spent time with Eva James, Brandon felt that she would make a great mum. However, since Brody and Josie are just starting their relationship, he was quick to say they have more than enough time to decide if they want children together.
10. His net worth
Unlike his step-sisters who are worth millions even Kylie Jenner going as afar as being declared the youngest self-made billionaire, Brandon is yet to gain as much wealth. With his music career, Brandon has accumulated $1 million.Kaitlynn Carter
