General Hospital fans know that going from daytime to primetime is a dream and a goal in the lives of so many actors and actresses who are spending their time working all the time. What’s even better about that is that this is the time of year when people are spending more of their time focused on things like the holidays and what that means for all of us. We love the holidays and what those bring to the table for us, and we also all know that Hallmark is the channel that brings the most in terms of holiday anticipation and excitement as well as daytime stars. General Hospital stars like Ryan Paevey are so big in the Hallmark game now, and you will see his face on more than a few movies this year. But, we want to bring you another daytime General Hospital actor who is coming to the primetime situation in a very exciting and new project.
Holiday Date
We are so excited about this one for so many reasons. The first reason is that this is a movie in which things will take a very exciting turn. You see, this is not a countdown to Christmas movie that will air on Hallmark. It’s one of two very special Hanukkah movies that will air. This is a movie bring you a very handsome face in that of Matt Cohen, the man who plays Dr. Griffin on General Hospital. He’s not been part of the show more than a few years yet, and he’s brought some serious drama. He’s been through so much. He’s done so much, and he’s been a mess through and through. And now he gets to come to the evening timeframe and make us even happier.
Here is what we love enough more about this movie; we know nothing about it. The channel has done a remarkable job keeping everything together and under wraps. There is nothing we can see about it online yet. The actors aren’t talking. The only thing we know at this point is that it stars Matt Cohen alongside Brittany Bristow, and we assume that they will fall in love during the holiday season, but they will not be celebrating Christmas along the way. If we had to guess, they will find some love with one another. They fill fall in love, there will be some sort of silly and underwhelming conflict with one another, or one of them will be afraid to share something with the other, and they will go their own ways without one another. We will see each of them unhappy for a minute or two, and then they will be happy again when they show up at the end and they are together for all the rest of eternity with all the happiness that the Hanukkah season brings to them.
We cannot wait to see it, and we cannot wait to see what they bring to it. It should be good. It will air on December 22 on Hallmark, but we don’t know yet what time it will air.
On that note, you can also expect to tune in more than a few times this year to see the countdown to Christmas movies playing with some other familiar General Hospital faces. The very handsome former Nathan, Ryan Paevey, will be back in some of his hit Hallmark classics, and we assume he will be back in a few new ones since he did leave Port Charles to go into the Hallmark movie business. He’s been killing it on the movie front, so we assume he will spend his fair share of time doing the same this year.
Don’t forget to tune in at the beginning of November when all the Christmas movies begin to air. There will be new ones each week, old ones in between, and fan favorites here and there. If you’re not sure how to get yourself into the middle of a holiday celebration mood, this is the way to do it. They might be cheesy movies with some cheesy plots, but they are all you need to feel like you are everywhere in the Christmas spirit all the time. Get with it, and let’s see it happen.
