Days of Our Lives Worst Couples of All Time

Days of Our Lives Worst Couples of All Time

Days of Our Lives fans know that many people have been couples throughout the years. It’s easy to forget that some of your favorites might not have been together at some point (Kayla and Steve, for example…who could imagine them not being together?) and they don’t’ always last. Some couples are easily forgotten because they just don’t work for us, and we get that. But, sometimes, you have to take a step back and look at things from a very subjective point of view. Who is great? Who is not? Who could be a much better couple than someone else? We won’t always know who might work and who might not work, but we always know that some people are much better couples than others. We want to take a look down memory lane and rank some of our favorite characters with their absolute worst relationships.

Marlena and Roman

Do you remember that? They were together, and we didn’t like it. We love her, and we love him, but we do not love them together. They never quite worked for us, and we cannot really pinpoint why other than the fact that she is just such a good person and he is rarely such a good person. They were a couple who seemed like they might be able to get it together and work it out, but they went through a lot. He was thought dead. Then she was presumed dead. Neither of them were actually dead, but that does do some damage to a relationship when you’re dead and your partner moves on and you have to figure that out. So, we pretty much get that. But, we also get that there are times when things just don’t work out. And they didn’t work out. We are not mad about that, either. We like her with John.

Nicole and Brady

They are like oil and water, and they simply do not mix. She’s not always the nicest person, but we still love her so much with Eric. He seems to bring out the absolute best in her when they are together. She becomes calmer. She’s sweeter, and she’s kinder. She’s a woman who seems to live her best life when she is with Eric, but she’s at her absolute worst when she is with Brady. He brings out the worst in her, and she in him. They are good friends, and we like to see them work together and make things right, but we are not fans of seeing them together in a romantic sense. They don’t work for us, and we think that they know it. Of course, she’s looking to get him back right now but only because she’s locked away in hiding and it’s Kristin wearing her face around town, so we can forgive that and hope it doesn’t work.

Sami and E.J.

Can we just point out that we often pick them as one of our favorite couples, too? We have such a love/hate relationship with them, and we do feel like it works for us. We have so much to say about this, and we have so much we hope works for us, but this is something we cannot get over. They have so much to offer one another. They have so many things that seem so good for them, and they have so many things that don’t work, either. They bring out the most extreme of everything in one another. When they are in a good place in their relationship — well, before he died and all that minor detail-like stuff — they brought out the best in one another. They were good, they were happy, and they were living their very best lives. When they were at their worst, however, they drove one another crazy and they made one another feel like the worst of the worst. They were so bad that their families were upset with them, their kids were not happy, and they were making everyone in Salem unhappy. That’s why they are the best of the worst and the worst of the best. We can’t decide which list is more appropriate for them. Can you? If so, share with us in the comments.
