The Arrow television series is coming to a sad end after running for seven series already. The last season will be having a much shorter run than usual with previous seasons, which have twenty-three episodes. This eighth and final season will only have ten episodes for the fans to enjoy. The showrunners Beth Schwartz and Marc Guggenheim both say the decision to finish the television series was a difficult one to make.
Why is Arrow ending? The simple reason is that Stephen Amell, who plays the titular role, wanted to leave the series while moving onto other projects while spending more time with his wife and daughter. When Amell told fans this on social media, he was teary-eyed at the thought of finishing off the television series. Although he has had this desire to leave Arrow for some time, since season six, Stephen has played the superhero since then but now feels its time to leave. He enjoys long-running series which don’t overstay their time but ends in a manner that really gives their fans what they want, a great ending.
Other members of the cast have spoken out about the ending of Arrow – now stars Emily Bett Rickards and Grant Gustin from the Flash have come forward to share their views. Meanwhile, Grant who appeared in the second season of Arrow as Barry Allen has also written a touching tribute to the show, where he has said he has expressed joy with working with the team on a crossover series combining two of Detective Comics superheroes. Alright, because of their similar schedules the crossover episodes do not happen all the time, but when they do happen everyone has fun. Grant has also commented Stephen has brought passion and vision to the entire Arrowverse while putting enormous amounts of care into the series to make it work out, and he will always remember the hundreds of amazing memories he and the rest of the cast share on the set of the crossover episodes.
