Five Actors Who Should Play Robert Kraft in the Eventual TV Movie

It’s said not to kick a person when they’re already down but New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft isn’t quite down yet and there’s nothing to say that he will be down since the guy has enough money to make a lot of problems simply go away. But being a part of an illegal sex trafficking ring, or at least taking part in something that had anything to do with it, seems like a scandal that he won’t be escaping any time soon. That being the case you can imagine that there might very well be a movie in the making when it comes to this, and as a result you can easily think that there might be a few actors in line for the main role. But thinking about who would be perfect to play Mr. Kraft and who could possibly convince the audience of their veracity in such a role is kind of difficult and it almost seems as though the choices below would be passed up if only because Hollywood seems to enjoy the randomness of casting people for these types of roles.

Here are a few actors that could possibly play the part of Robert Kraft.

5. Robert Redford

Some of these actors have long and storied careers that have made some people love them and some people hate them, but Robert Redford is one of the many that has seemed to push through all of it and has just kept on doing what he loves to do. The veteran actor has likely seen better days when it comes to his career but at the very least he hasn’t really lost a step in his acting, just in the roles that he’s taken on throughout the years. This is a man that after all has helped to define an era in his time and became someone that people looked up to and fans adored for so long. Placing him in a movie like this would be par for the course it seems.

4. Jack Nicholson

Jack Nicholson is no stranger to anything and everything Boston since he’s been acting his way through one region after another for so many years that he’s grown accustomed to just slipping into a part the way other people slip into a new pair of shoes every so often. His acting ability is unparalleled and his attitude while on set is the type that might not always be the nicest but is all business when he has to be. Putting him in as Kraft almost makes it seem like he’d have to tone it down and then ramp it up again and again and that seems to be what Nicholson is good at even in his advanced years.

3. Colin Firth

Colin Firth might seem like an odd choice for something like this but it does seem like an interesting choice all the same since he is a great actor and does kind of have the same face shape as Kraft. As for his age he could easily sit down in the makeup chair for a while to let them get the look right and it seems that everything might come off as quite close to the Patriot’s owner. Plus his acting, and his ability to mask his English accent, is something that would enable him to play this role quite well. If nothing else it would be a distinct challenge for this veteran actor that might actually be a worthwhile attempt.

2. Anthony Hopkins

Anthony Hopkins tried his hand at retirement a little while back and found that it didn’t agree with him as much as he thought it might. After so long in the business though you have to admit that he was likely sitting around being bored part of the time and wishing he was back on set. He’s one of those actors that can do just about anything but usually seems quite comfortable when he’s at work, no matter the part he has to play. The man is one of the few absolute geniuses left in his age bracket and is able to turn a phrase or a simple look into something that might take an entire film for someone else to match with their own display of wit and dialogue.

1. Gary Oldman

If there’s one thing that Gary Oldman has done consistently throughout his career it’s to prove that he can play just about anyone and make it absolutely convincing. He’s taken on roles that normally you wouldn’t feel he’s qualified for and still nailed them in a way that is absolutely brilliant. The reason he’s number one for this role is that he is, hands down, one of the best actors when it comes to transforming himself in more than one way for a role and besides that, he’s just an all-around excellent actor that makes you believe that he is the person he’s portraying.

It’ll be interesting to see if Kraft is indeed found guilty of what he’s been accused of.
