General Hospital fans aren’t all that shocked that the week ended on the note that it did. We all saw that Anna was good when she decided to take the bet that she thought that a lot could go down with Obrecht and her motherly instincts. She was fine thinking that this might work for her, and she is probably right. She’s a woman who knows when things are good or they are working out with everyone. But they do have some moments. Sam had something that she wanted to give her mother, and that’s what she did. But we are not all that certain the entire thing went down the way that she thought it might go down. She’s not entirely sure about all of that, but we do think there could be some weirdness there. For now, though, we are just going to assume they can work that out.
The other thing that went down into the books for us was Julian. He’s not happy. He lashed out in a big way. And that didn’t go well for him, either. He is the kind of man who likes to see things happen his own way, but he’s also the kind of man who loses it when things do not go his way. They did not go his way last week, and that was apparent and obvious in more ways than one. But for now, there is nothing that we can do but speculate how he will handle that. Kiki is dead, and everyone is upset. Jordan is obsessed, Ava is not sure how she feels because there are so many emotions, and everyone is a mess. But, for now, we can see things unfold in a way that may seem interesting.

Donna Messina (Department Head, #GH Makeup & Hair) joined the @GeneralHospital family on 8/26/1982. To say her presence will be missed is an understatement. She was an incredibly warm, witty and all around great gal. Our thoughts go out to her loved ones.

It’s always tragic and sad when someone part of the family passes, and this is one of those situations. This is a woman who has been part of the show for more than 35 years, and her friends and family have our most heartfelt and sincere thoughts and prayers.

Ava’s in a difficult place right now, but that should not come as any type of big surprise to her friends and family. She’s made a mess of her life, and there is not a lot she can do of that. Consider the fact that her own daughter is now dead at the hands of a murderer, and everything in her life is a mess. She’s lost the two people she loves the most in the past year, and her daughter was killed while they were not in a good place. We almost feel that Ava is less upset that her daughter is dead and that she is more upset that her daughter is dead in the middle of a fight between the two of them. Her struggles will only grow worse over time. It will not be pretty in any way.
Add to that the fact that Julian is trying to make things better, and everyone is a mess. He’s not having much luck in that way, but that’s a problem he has to face on his own. He’s working to try and get so many people to feel good about him, but his own daughter is so unimpressed with him that nothing he can or will do will ever be good enough for her. It’s not who she is as a person. And then there is Carly, who will visit her son’s grave. She’s also struggling. Perhaps visiting him to say some words to him and be close to him will help her find some peace. She needs it.
