10 Things You Didn’t Know about Michael Zegen

Some people might disagree but folks like Michael Zegen tend to hang around in the midst of their fellow celebrities, sometimes on the fringes and sometimes right up close without being noticed by much of anyone but those closest to them. It’s not entirely fair to say this but until their names start popping up where people can see them, or have been noticed in past endeavors where others take notice, then it’s kind of hard to say that they’re entirely noticeable. But Zegen has been making his way forward since his career started and to be honest he’s gained enough notoriety that he’s now someone that gets considered for various roles that are seen in shows that large numbers of people tend to watch. If you can pick him out then it means you’ve seen him before, but if you see him once the chances are good that you’ll remember him.

Here are a few things you might not have known about him.

10. He’s a member of a comedy sketch group.

Sketch comedy groups seem to kind of popular in places like New York City where Zegen is a part of the group known as Hottie$ Galore. Watching a sketch comedy group would be a different experience but it also seems like it would be a lot of fun.

9. He’s had over 50 appearances on the David Letterman Show.

This is dedication to a part since he showed up as Dwight the Troubled Teen for each appearance. If a gimmick works and people like it then the comedian is sometimes obliged to keep doing it until the act doesn’t work any longer or they feel the need to move on.

8. He’s 39 years old.

You could argue that he’s not an old man at this point and you’d be right but he’s not all that young either and might feel the years starting to creep up on him just a bit as he continues to push forward with his career and seek out whatever roles he can get.

7. His career started in 2002.

This would mean that he started in his early 20s, which isn’t exactly old in the business but isn’t all that common any longer it would seem since a lot of people are getting their start as kids or teenagers at the very least. Some people just come to the business later in life though.

6. He was in Boardwalk Empire.

In order to be a decent character on this show an actor had to be kind of ruthless in their delivery and yet calm and composed while doing it. Zegen managed to take on the role of Bugsy Siegel quite easily as he did a credit to the show while he was there.

5. He had a recurring role in The Walking Dead.

One thing about being a show like The Walking Dead is that if you’re not a main character, or even if you are, then you know your number is going to be up quickly and your role in the show is going to over and done with. It’s a great way to get noticed but unless you’re a strong and valued character the chances of survival are next to nil.

4. He was in Adventureland.

Because weed makes everything better. At least that’s what this scene seems to say. But if you’re going to work at an amusement park that’s just a tad rundown and have to deal with people that would happily abuse you for no other reason than because it’s fun and they look at you as a peon, then the weed might help a lot.

3. He starred in Rescue Me.

A lot of shows about firefighters tend to revolve mostly around their lives off the job as well as on it and this is pretty standard since it invites a lot of drama as well as a lot of genuine entertainment. Sometimes it’s a toss-up of which one you’re going to get.

2. He has kind of a small following on social media.

Quite honestly he has one of the smallest followings that I’ve seen in some time but that almost seems like a good thing since it kind of assumes that he’s more focused on building his career and making sure people know about him than on how many tweets or Instagram posts he has and how many people are watching his every move.

1. He’s kind of an average-sized guy.

He stands a few inches above the known average for men but that still seems to make him pretty average and not tall since if you look around the average seems like it needs to be measured again. That would be a pretty big undertaking though.

So far in his career Michael has built a stable and successful base to work from, and that’s not something that everyone can claim.
