The Bold and the Beautiful fans know all about Thorsten Kaye. He’s a man who has been on the show for many years, but he’s not always someone the fans have been good with. You see, he was a man who was on the show because the man who originally played this character was gone. The original Ridge left the show many years ago, and fans were not looking to see him replaced by someone else. He was a longstanding character with a lot of people who loved him endlessly, and seeing him leave was not a thing anyone wanted to deal with. Now he’s gone, and that’s big news. And fans have fallen madly in love with Kaye even though they said they would not. Now we want to know more about him.
1. He’s From London
He was born and raised in London. He was born on February 22, 1966 in Mainz. He was there for the entirety of his young life. He did not move to the United States until 1985. He was 19 when he left his native United Kingdom to give himself a chance at life in the United States.
2. He’s An Athlete
He made it to the US because he was an exceptional athlete. He was awarded a scholarship to the United States International University, which is located in San Diego. There he was on the track team with his track scholarship.
3. He Has A Degree
When he first began his college career, he wanted to be a physical education expert. That’s what he studied at first, but he eventually decided that he would change his career path and focus on drama. Acting was something he enjoyed, and he thought it made sense to pursue a degree in what he wanted to do for a living.
4. He Loves Theater
Before he was an actor in the movies or television, he was a stage actor. He starred in many of the most famous and notable plays. He’s got an affinity for theater, and he loves every second of his time on the stage.
5. He Began His Soap Career in 1995
He was in the US for a decade before he got his first role on a soap. He was first signed on to spend two years playing a role on One Life to Live. He was Patrick Thornhart. He was there until 1997 when he decided it was time to move on from the role and go elsewhere.
6. He Met His Love on The Soaps
It turns out that his first job in the soaps was the best one he ever had because it brought him all the best things in his life. He met his life partner there. Her name is Susan Haskell. She was one of this coworkers on the OLTL, and they met there, fell in love, and began their life together.
7. He’s A Father
He and Susan Haskell might not be married, but they’ve been together since like 1995 or something like that. They also have two children together. They have two little girls. Their oldest daughter was born in 2003 and their youngest was born in 2007.
8. He’s A Blogger
For a while, he was a blogger. He did some active blogging for the Detroit Red Wins in 2008 and 2009. He did it for them on the NHL website while they were in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He’s a huge fan of theirs.
9. He’s A Writer
In addition to his role as a blogger, he also does some writing. He is a big fan of literature, and so it makes sense that he would be a fan of things like his own book of original poetry. He actually has a CD that goes along with it that reads the poems to you, and he makes no money off the sale of his book or CD. All the profits he makes go directly to the “Give Kids the World” charity for sick kids. what an amazing man.
10. He’s A Dolphins Fan
He’s a diehard Miami Dolphins fan, and that’s a big deal. He loves football, and he’s someone who will not stand back and watch other teams play. He’s a fan.
