Elyse Levesque is a Canadian actress who was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, on September 10, 1985. She began her career as an actress in 1997 and is now best-known for her roles as Genevieve in ‘The Originals‘ and as Chloe Armstrong in ‘Stargate Universe’, a Syfy original series. Her full name is Elyse Marie Levesque. Her surname is a common French-Canadian name. Her parents choose the name Elyse after the mom in the television series ‘Family Ties’.
2. She Enjoys Yoga
As a child, Elyse Levesque was extremely active and enjoyed sports such as softball, dance and track events. Although she does not do these activities any more, she still enjoys keeping fit. Yoga is her favorite activity and this is something she does three to four times a week.
3. She Traveled the World as a Model
Although she is best-known for her work on-screen, Elyse Levesque has also worked as a model in the years after leaving high school. This has involved a lot of travel as she worked in various locations across the globe. Some of these have included France, Spain, Italy, Japan, and Taiwan. After several years in the modelling industry, she decided to return to Canada to study fine arts at university.

Elyse Levesque has played a diverse range of roles during her career, but she has portrayed a witch on two separate occasions. In 2007, she played a flame-wielding bog witch called Layla in one episode of ‘Flash Gordon’ titled ‘Possession’. She landed the part of a witch called Genevieve in ‘The Originals’ in 2014. This was a recurring role and she appeared in 12 episodes of the series.
7. She Has Had Work Done on Her Teeth

She lost some of her top teeth in a game of dodgeball as a child, so her top teeth are fake. Her bottom teeth were crooked, so she had them straightened as an adult using Invisalign.

Levesque is also a talented singer and is in a female rap group which has yet to release a single. The other members of her group are Canadian filmmaker Leah Gauthier and Canadian actress Devon Weigel. The group write their own lyrics but have a friend who provides the beat.
