The CW announced earlier that ten shows from their current lineup can breathe easy because they have early renewals! The Fall season will be the first to feature their new Sunday through Friday primetime schedule, giving way to more spots available.
Of the renewals, all 5 DC shows made the cut. Arrow (Season 7), Flash (Season 5), Supergirl (Season 4), Legends of Tomorrow (Season 4), and their latest Black Lightning (Season 2) will be returning this fall. Dynasty will also be getting a second season. Riverdale is returning for their third and powerhouse Supernatural will be back for their 14th season! In addition comedies Jane the Virgin (Season 5) and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Season 4) have snagged their spots in the fall line up.
The CW will have more room to play with when constructing their schedule for the fall, however, some of these shows are expected to get a shortened season order. Legends of Tomorrow, Jane the Virgin, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend already have shorter seasons than the others.
The fate of the rest of the shows, including those on the bubble and expecting cancellations, will be revealed by upfronts in May.
