Five Things You Didn’t Know about “Alex, Inc”

Alex, Inc. is the story of a man that quits his successful job to start his own podcast. Obviously his family is less than enthused but is at least willing to support him, in their own ways. It’s a lot of stress moving from something that makes money to something that isn’t a sure bet and yet seems like something that he should be doing. Throughout the trailer Braff is beset by doubts and the idea that he might have made a mistake, but by the end of it you get the feeling that he’s going to hit his stride and make some real forward progress.

Now all we need to do is find out what we didn’t get to see yet.

5. It’s Zach Braff’s return to network TV.

Some people have been missing this guy since Scrubs went off the air and others have just kind of wondered where he went to. Well considering that TV is where he’s really managed to shine it’s a return back to the normalcy of being a small screen icon that Braff should be really excited about. This is where his fan base is and this is where he’s the most loved, so it makes sense to come back.

4. It’s a show about a podcast.

To be more exact it’s a show about a guy that starts a podcast in the hopes that it will take off and be a new sensation that people can get behind. Obviously it’s a lot of stress to place on a family that needs two incomes to get by, as many families do, but it’s also a chance at greatness that when available is hard to say no to since it could mean so many wonderful things if one follows through.

3. It’s less risque than Scrubs

Go back and watch a few episodes of Scrubs and you’ll realize that there was a lot more sexual content than you remember. This show is more of a family-friendly program and was designed with both parents and their kids in mind so that they could watch it together and the parent wouldn’t think that it’s totally inappropriate.

2. Braff is hoping that people who loved Scrubs will tune in.

Zach Braff is still more or less the same character but in a different lifestyle. Instead of being a resident that was constantly struggling to get by he’ll be a successful businessman with a family to look after and a business to build that will continually stress his wife out and entertain his kids to no end. So yeah, he’s still kind of the same goofball but just a little more matured due to his role.

1. The show will air on the earlier side of ABC’s lineup.

Braff admitted to being excited about this since it allows kids and their parents to watch the show at the same time being that it’s being shown at a reasonable time. That’s important since the goal of the show is to be fun for the whole family.

It looks like it should be pretty funny.
