Five Things You Didn’t Know about “Station 19”

Station 19 is a hit drama detailing the lives of a group of firefighters that are not only exceptional at their job but are heavily connected to another show that managed to reach people on a very emotional level and is a great reference for this exciting series. Andy Herrera is a woman that has been raised around firefighters and as a result has become one upon growing up, following in her father’s footsteps and aspiring to be just like him as she seeks to prove that she can head up the firehouse in her father’s absence when he gets injured.

It’s going to heat up awfully quick, and yes, the pun was fully intended.

5. It’s a Grey’s Anatomy spinoff.

It’s not the first spinoff that Grey’s Anatomy has ever spawned but it is one of the newest and as such will have a lot to prove as it goes along in order to maintain the dignity and popularity that can possibly keep it around for a while. While it’s so far inspiring people to want to watch it needs to keep up that intensity if it wants to stick around.

4. It’s based in Seattle.

It seems like a lot of times that such shows are based in eastern cities such as Boston, New York, Chicago, or any other major city that’s not in the west. This time however this show is going to be featured in the Emerald City and will have plenty to go on as the west coast might not be as old or as cultured as the east, but there are plenty of opportunities for stories to be told and a series to be filled to the brim with interesting plot points.

3. It has some big name producers.

Shonda Rhimes is kind of taking a back seat for this one since she’s going to allow such folks as Stacy McKee, Betsy Beers, and Paris Barclay to take control for a little while. Between the three of them the producers have worked on a good number of shows that managed to draw fans in and keep them hooked for a good long while thanks to expert story lines and great character development.

2. There are some familiar faces.

Fans should be able to recognize some familiar faces from Grey’s Anatomy since the show will be utilizing some of the same characters. There could even be a chance that some of the original stars will pop in from time to time as guests and liven the show up a bit just for kicks. Seeing as it’s still fairly new there’s a lot that could happen to up the ratings and make sure that people are going to be kept interested.

1. There is going to be a lot of drama.

With certain shows you simply know there’s going to be drama but with shows featuring firefighters it’s a guarantee since the content tends to get highly emotional. Also, seeing as how it’s a spinoff from an equally emotional show there’s really no chance that it could be anything else.

It’s going to be something that lives or dies by the audience it attracts, that’s for certain.
