How it All Started
A year after George Harrison died of lung cancer at the age of 58, his wife Olivia and his friend Eric Clapton put together a tribute in his honor. That was on November 29, 2002, and the performance tribute took place at Royal Albert Hall in London. And, what a momentous evening it was, filled with George’s beautiful songs and all of the music that he loved so much. As amazing as it was, unfortunately not everybody around the world had the opportunity to enjoy that momentous coming together of all of George Harrison’s talented friends to pay tribute to him. But, now everybody does finally have the chance to join in and remember George Harrison and all of his wonderful music, while also having the opportunity to actually see just how much everyone loved him. From his band-mates like Ringo and Paul to iconic musicians like Clapton, they all come together to make a momentous concert turned into a film for the ages for everyone to remember.
