There are probably a lot of actresses that could take the part of Hope Hicks in an eventual movie but there are some that are just seemingly more qualified than others. Hicks is currently the White House Communications Director under Donald Trump and is responsible for making the president look good just like anyone else and as a result is under constant scrutiny by those that oppose Trump in any way. Her job is not only demanding but it could possibly come under fire for the slightest misstep on her part, though to date she’s been a capable and competent person save for one incident that has caused her lawyer to deny that she’d said anything that could possibly be used to harm the president’s image. It might seem like they’re circling the wagons but until we know more about it there’s not much else to say.
The women below would be just a handful of the best options to play Hope Hicks in a movie.
5. Mila Kunis
Hope has kind of a piercing stare that could pin a person from across the room it seems like. That could be a good thing if Mila Kunis was ever tapped for such a role since she has such expressive eyes that she would fit the role perfectly. So far in her career she’s done serious and comedic roles and been great at both, but for this she would need to get very serious and be at the top of her game.
4. Olivia Wilde
It comes down to the intensity in her eyes yet again as Hope definitely has some type of fire behind that gaze that won’t back down to anyone unless she feels the need. Olivia Wilde has played timid parts in the past but she’s also come out as a fierce and very dedicated character in her films and her eyes speak volumes. Simply because she would be able to convey so much with her eyes, like Kunis, she would be perfect.
3. Elizabeth Hurley
This would come down to the overall look of the woman, the hair spilled over her shoulders, the slightly haughty look that may or may not be real, and the faint smile that you see in the picture. Hurley can nail all of those qualities and project an air of authority while she’s doing it. She might actually be taller than Hicks but that would be forgivable enough or could be manipulated in some way.
2. Kate Beckinsale
Once more, the intensity and the straightforward feeling that Hicks gives of would be greatly imitated by Beckinsale, who as a death dealer in some of her roles has been nothing short of intense and brutally efficient. She’s already proven that she can nail an American English accent very well and wouldn’t have to do much to make it work again. She’s got a slightly longer face than Hicks but it could still work.
1. Tina Fey
Tina Fey is getting older but is still able to project little more than attitude when she wants to. She makes the top spot mostly because she’s the first person I thought of when I saw Hope Hicks and the closest to a match that could possibly be found.
Personality and looks count for a lot, but the sheer ferocity of each actress would make this work beautifully.
