Young and the Restless fans are going to have a moment of shock right now. Melissa Claire Egan is the name of the actress who plays Chelsea, and she is out. She’s decided to leave the show for good, and that means Chelsea is probably going with her. Of course, there is always a chance people might have the opportunity to see the character recast, but this could throw a huge wrench in all that we’ve seen in the past few weeks. We’ve been feeling that Adam might be coming back and that she might be the one to know this.
She’s been on the rocks with Nick for a while now, she knows things about his life that no one else but Victor knows, and it’s all kinds of awkward. So we think that this might be an exit. Perhaps a new actress will come back with her name and with Adam at some point. She’s chosen to leave, though, so we can expect to see her last few shows in the near future.
Fans haven’t loved what’s happened to her character since Adam died and she basically just toned down her personality and stayed out of trouble. It’s been a bit boring, and this might mean things will turn around for her character as she turns into something a bit different. And that means she might get some good story lines in the near future before her departure.
