Margot Robbie Gets in on that Fake ‘Crocodile Dundee’ movie

Considering all the big names in the fake Crocodile Dundee movie you had to know that Margot Robbie was going to get in on it eventually. She plays a character that’s tougher than any she’s played thus far, except maybe that of Harley Quinn. A lot of people are wishing at this point that this movie was real and not just a giant fake out since to see this many stars in a movie is kind of like a big treat. And learning that it’s fake is like having that treat cruelly ripped away just as you’re about to get a taste. Not cool you guys, not cool at all.

Every single actor in this fake trailer has earned their stripes and been lauded as one of the best in Hollwyood at one point or another. The colossal egg in the face that was delivered when it was found out that this entire thing was just a goof is kind of like a slap to the senses for fans even though it was made for a purpose. It was intended to help the tourism trade in Australia, though there had to be some other way to go about it. The more they run this thing the more likely it is that more people will get fooled and eventually get pretty hacked off once they learn that it’s nothing more than a giant hoax.

Hollywood is certainly going to a lot of effort to rev people up these days. Unfortunately it kind of has to be that way any longer since people expect so much from each and every motion picture trailer they see. Some want to see just about everything, others want to see just enough to be enticed, and then there’s the others that don’t care so long as they know the movie is coming out eventually. This trailer though excited all types of people and once it was exposed the backlash was just a giant ‘meh’ as people shrugged and walked away. Imagine what the buzz would be like if were real.

I don’t doubt that the reputation of each actor in this trailer is going to be intact and perhaps even boosted by this. Such things in Hollywood seem to blow over quickly and get lauded as one of the greatest things to ever happen. No one that’s a consumer and a fan wants to think that they’re not in on the gag so of course people will be saying stuff like “oh yeah I fell for it, but now it’s just one of the funniest commercials ever”. You simply know they go home and sit in their private spot and wonder why in the world they ever fell for such a ploy. Well that’s simple at least, because it looks like a real trailer for a real movie. To be honest I might have been fooled if I hadn’t already known going in that it was fake.

It wouldn’t be the worst idea for a movie really.
