Brothers Build A Flying Bathtub To Take Them To The Bakery

How industrious can these brothers be to build a flying bathtub that can get them to the bakery and back? All I can say is that looks like it might be kind of a chilly ride. If that tub’s insulated at all it might be okay but the breeze either way seems like it’d be enough to chill anyone even going at the moderate speed it’s at. Still, points for thinking of something like this since it’s very innovative and not at all expected. Obviously the folks in town weren’t expecting it since cameras are out and videos are no doubt being shot and possibly going viral. I mean how often do you see something this cool?

The reality of it though is that the driver/rider couldn’t be all that heavy since the tub is heavy enough to lift and any added weight would have to be accounted for. That means the braces that are holding the propulsion system to the tub would have to be on their super tight and possibly grafted or even welded together in order to get the necessary stability that would be needed for a flight like this. The mechanics of it are something my mind just can’t fully comprehend since I’m not an engineer and wouldn’t attempt this unless I had a full set of schematics and a few years to figure it out. But watching it is pretty cool.

The rotors make an awful lot of noise but that seems to be something that you wouldn’t be able to get away from unless such things as sound dampers that could be applied were possible to obtain and and were considered to be completely legal even if it was possible. When going over open areas I can fully imagine that this contraption wouldn’t be a huge issue to police, but if it was used in regular traffic or even parked in a regular lot I don’t get the impression that a lot of cops would just let it slide. Of course this being an internet video you never know what to believe and whether or not you’re being put on since the guy parks, goes in and grabs a sandwich, and then heads back out without the lady behind the counter grilling him about parking in her lot or even how he managed to come up with such a mode of transportation. It’s like she’s seen it before and she’s not impressed, or like it’s staged. I really don’t want to believe the latter since the former would be so much funnier.

Quite honestly I don’t think I’d be hopping in a bathtub to take a simple trek over to the bakery for a sandwich, nor would I be hopping into this thing for anything less than a world-ending emergency in which the ground beneath me was opening up and I had no other option. But to those that enjoy the feeling of flight and the thrill of using what looks like an AC controller to fly around town, have at it.
