Child support is a new game show that premieres on ABC on January 5th 2017 at 8 PM. It is a competition series starring Fred Savage and Ricky Gervais. It features adult contestants as well as interactions between Gervais and a group of five kids who end up saying some of the most unpredictable things that will most likely keep viewers glued to the screens. Prize Money is $200,000 and Above
Child Support gives contestants an opportunity to win prizes upwards of $200,000 after answering a series of questions. The studio show that takes one hour requires contestants to answer ten questions correctly. The more questions a person answers, the more money they end up earning. If an individual happens to answer incorrectly, they can seek assistance from the group of children (between the ages of six to nine). They answer the same question that the adult was not able to. If the little ones know the answer, the adult will be “saved.” Note that the young ones do not take it easy on Gervais as they are not on the show to mess around.
Fred Savage has always Turned to Kids when He needs to Know Something
Fred Savage who is the host of the show was excited to be part of the team. He says that whenever he is stumped, he normally turns to his kids or Google to find out the answer. Savage has starred in “The Wonder Years” a Classic ABC Drama. He has also directed over a hundred episodes of scripted television and has received nominations for four Directors Guild Awards. Fred’s talents would be a great addition to the show.

Clark Walkup is one of the Children on the Cast
Clark a pine view school student is one of the kids who help adults answer the questions they get on the new comedy quiz show. He seems to know all the answers that Ricky throws at him even the most obscure ones. The third grader is a boy who loves to share his knowledge is not shy; studies tae kwon do, is a member of Mensa at his school and also plays the piano. Walkup also enjoys reading about history and loves to watch shows like Fact Vs. Fiction and documentaries. For a quiz kid, he does not care too much about entertainment or sport. He could read when he was only two years and always sounds older than he is. Clark wants to attend both Yale and Harvard and wants to be a historian when he is older. He has no interests in pursuing acting as a career even after his appearance on the game show.
It is Real not Scripted
An aspect that makes the game show impressive is the fact that it feels beautiful and real. It is not written, and the children end up saying the funniest of things especially when they are not too sure about what the answers are. Ricky had the idea of coming up with a weird twist in the reality TV world.
