Five Things You Should Know about “LA to Vegas”

Both Dylan McDermott and Dermot Mulroney have amassed quite the Hollywood careers. Both have been immensely successful on the big screen and in television. Well, the two have decided to team up to bring a new comedy to Fox this coming fall. LA to Vegas is about two friends are a looking to find their place in the world in a way that will allow them to make a difference. While the show features Dylan, Dermot has a presence as well. If you are a Dylan McDermott or Dermot Mulroney fan, there is a good chance that you will like this series, but here are five things that you need to know about the series.

1. There is a Strong Similarity Between Dylan’s Character and Ron Burgundy

Do I need to go any further to set this thing up for you? For all of you Anchorman fans out there, just get yourself prepared for a real treat. I know that it is hard to picture Dylan in that type of role, but from I hear, he nails it. The similarities in the characters are likely to do with Adam McKay’s involvement in the project. In fact, there are a lot of people who have been involved in the creation and shooting of series with the same flare, so this has all the makings of a classic.

2. Mulroney’s Role will Enter as Secondary Presence

Without question, this is Dylan McDermott’s show; however, Dermot Mulroney will be a guest star on the show. I am not sure how much time he will have in the overall scheme of things, but he will play a rival of Dylan’s character, which will definitely add to the flavor of the series. While he will not be a regular on the show, Dermot will appear throughout the season to create those moments that set the stage for some hilarious content.

3. LA to Vegas will Premiere in the Middle of the Fall Season

I am not sure if it is a promotional strategy or if there are some other constraints that are involved, but the show did not launch at the beginning of the fall season like most other shows, it will be launched in the middle of the Fall season. This workplace comedy will play out as the airline crew for a pretend airline travels to and from LA to Vegas. I have had the pleasure of watching some extended clips and it is absolutely hilarious.

4. The Rotating Model Does Wonders

The producers and director for the show are using a model in which different characters will be rotated in and out of the show, bringing in unexpected surprises and a wide variety of flavor to the show. The lineup that the show has in place for the first season is guaranteed to entertain the viewers. Not only will you get a full dose of pure comedy, there are several eccentric comedians that will definitely add some interesting flair to the dynamic.

5. The Show’s Cast Sets It Up for Success

While McDermott definitely carries his own weight and then some in making sure that this show will be a success, he is definitely not alone. There is a regular group of comedians on this show who have extraordinary track records. Some of the supporting cast includes Kim Matula, Nathan Lee Graham, Ed Weeks, and more. When this star-studded comedic cast is unleashed let the laughter begin.
