Spider-man taking on the Avengers is a cool idea but one that this fan made movie definitely sets into overdrive when it comes to the web-slinging wallcrawler. For a long time now Spider-man has been way cool and capable of doing things that people didn’t even know about. Now that he’s got a suit that’s full of toys and all sorts of things for him to use, once he gets the hang of them, there’s a good chance that he’s even more unstoppable than ever before. But these are the Avengers you have to realize, and they know how to utilize strategy and plan an attack that could very easily lay Spider-man out. If it wasn’t due to their power then it would be due to their combined intelligence and battle experience that they would take him out.
Captain America would be the most likely to be taken out first even though it wouldn’t be an easy battle. Cap is stronger, quicker, and a much better fighter than most men. He also has the combat experience that Spider-man still lacks. However he’s not as strong as Spider-man and never has been, nor is he as agile, nimble, or even quite as intelligent. Peter Parker is a whiz kid remember, and can outsmart a lot of people on the fly. That’s why Cap would definitely go down, but not quite so quickly.
Iron Man would be the best bet to defeat Spider-man for one simple reason: he gave Peter Parker the suit. When has Tony Stark ever taken the chance that one of his creations could be used against him after the first one that almost took his life? True, his suit has been stolen numerous times in the comics and at least once in film, but he’s always found a way back and as a result there’s no doubt that there is a failsafe hidden somewhere in the programming of Spider-man’s new suit that Iron Man could take advantage of. Then it would be a command word or something similar and the web-slinger would either be down for the count or forced to rely on nothing but his own impressive skill set. Iron Man might still go out though if Tony didn’t have that kind of foresight.
Thor and the Hulk on their own would give Spider-man a beatdown unlike any other if the others failed. Spidey isn’t strong enough to take on either one on his own, and despite his quickness and durability one of these men is a god and the other is rage incarnate. I liked the video and thought the fan did a great job, but uh, no. Spidey would be going down in the third round to one or the other men no matter how nimble and quick he is. It’d be game over and he’d be knocked cold, if not killed outright.
This video was pretty fun though, I’d love to see if the fan would ever do an X-Men vs. the Avengers, that would be just flat out epic.
