Days of Our Lives fans know Sami is not happy with Lucas. Her ex is hitting the bottle hard, and no one can seem to get him to stop. He’s grown quite close to Chloe as of late, but that’s not something that has anything to do with what Sami is dealing with. Chloe has been trying to help him stop drinking and focus on what is going on in his own life and with their long-lost son who is back from the dead, but it’s not going well.
Things aren’t working out for them the way they thought they might, and it’s not going well. He’s upset. He’s not focusing on what is important so much as he is focusing on what he can’t control. He’s drinking entirely too much, and she’s not sure how to handle that. She’s also not entirely sure she wants to handle that.
And Sami has to handle it for them. She’s not concerned with the way Lucas is living his life on a regular basis, but this is their son. She wants him on his “A” game so he can get it together and finally find a way to move on to a point he can help their son. They have too much to deal with, and they don’t have enough to go on. And she’s going to give him an ultimatum. She wants him in rehab right now. And that’s all there is to it in her mind and in her opinion.
