Investigation Discovery just aired the premiere of a new series called “Deadly Dentists” on November 24th. This informative new series is not for the faint of heart, but it does deliver information that can help you to become a wiser consumer of services. Here is everything that you need to know about the new series in case you missed out on watching the premiere.
What the series is really about
“Deadly Dentists” is a show that reveals the true stories of dentists turned murderer. It isn’t about your worst fears in the dentist chair being realized. You’re still as safe as ever and watching the episodes won’t make you any more afraid to go in for your 6 month checkup or for dental repairs. The show focuses on murderers who just happen to be dentists by profession. We hope that this makes you feel a little better about tuning in.
Murder, mystery and suspense
Dentist are professionals who have access to a range of medical equipment, supplies and drugs. While the majority of them are upstanding citizens, some just happen to be murderers. The show is more about presenting suspenseful moments by retelling the stories of dentists who committed the crime of murder. The stories are filled with facts about the crimes with all the twists and turns that you would expect from a thriller series. There may be some filler in the places where the full facts weren’t fully known, but the basic facts are factual.
Examples
The premiere show is titled “Local Fracture” and it tells the tale of D. John Yelenic, a dentist who was found murdered in his home. As detectives conduct their investigation, they turn up disturbing evidence about some of the people in his life who had a motive for killing him. Was it the sleazy patient after drugs, the greedy wife who wanted more money from the pending divorce or was there someone else in his life that had reason to commit the crime?
The second episode titled “Dental Plan” is set to air December 1st. It’s the story of Dr. Roman Rezanowicz, who had what appeared to be the ideal marriage and family. He was a successful dentist and it appeared that life was going well, until he began suffering from mental problems. His wife also enters into a serious depression. It is obvious that both are in need of professional help. It appears that the wife commits suicide, but was this the real cause of death, or is it a homicide?
The third installment is titled “Concealed Abscess,” and will be shown on December 8th. This is the story of Dr. Glenn Engleman who has been assisting his neighbors for a number of years. It is a violent neighborhood where people do get hurt and even die on occasion. The dentist’s assistant’s husband is killed in a hunting accident and a colleague dies from a car bomb explosion. As police investgate these tragic deaths, they find connections that make it appear that perhaps they are not accidents after all, but rather murders.
