Murray Miller is a writer, a producer, and a filmmaker. He was born in California on December 2, 1976. Miller started his career as a stand-up comedian before deciding he wanted to work in television. He began his career in the entertainment industry when he worked as an assistant producer on the television series ‘Spin City’ between 2000 and 2001. He has since gone on to have a successful career in both film and television. He is particularly well-known for writing and producing famous popular television series, such as ‘Girls’, ‘American Dad!’, ‘Tour de Pharmacy’, ‘King of the Hill’, and ‘7 Days in Hell’.

1. He Has Been Nominated for Awards
In recognition of his work, Murray Miller has been nominated for two awards. The first nomination was in 2008 when he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Animated Program (For Programming Less Than One Hour). This was for an episode of ‘King of the Hill’ he wrote called ‘Death Picks Cotton’. He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for the second time in 2012 in the category of Outstanding Animated Program for an episode of ‘American Dad!’ called ‘Hot Water’. Unfortunately, Miller has not yet won an award for his work.
2. Andy Samberg was His Roommate in College
Murray Miller went to Monte Vista High School in Danville California before studying at New York University. While he was at university, his roommate was Andy Samberg the actor, comedian, musician, and filmmaker. Samberg is well-known for appearing in films including ‘That’s My Boy’, ‘Hot Rod’, ‘Hotel Transylvania’, Celeste and Jesse Forever’, and ‘Storks’.
3. His Brother is Judah Miller
Murray Miller has one brother; the writer Judah Miller. Judah Miller is also a producer and filmmaker. He is best-known for writing and producing ‘Clone High’, ‘The Tracy Morgan Show’, ‘Committed’, ‘Crashing’, ‘Axe Cop’, ‘King of the Hill’, and ‘Stacked’. Judah Miller is married to Marissa Jaret Winokur.
4. He is Facing Sexual Assault Allegations
Recently, Murray Miller has been accused of sexually assaulting actress Aurora Perrineau. In November 2017, she filed a report with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The complaint relates to an alleged sexual assault that Perrineau says took place in 2012 when she was 17. The claims have caused controversy as actress Lena Dunham, who starred in ‘Girls’, stated publicly that Perrineau is a liar as she knows Murray Miller professionally. Dunham was forced to retract her statement and make a public apology for what she had said. As yet, the exact nature of the allegations has not been made clear and Miller has not made any official comment.
5. He Has Appeared in Two Films
Although Murray Miller is best-known for his work behind the camera, he has appeared in two movies. In the 2008 film ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’, he plays the role of a photographer. His second movie acting role was in the 2012 film ‘The Five Year Engagement’ in which he played the role of SF Wedding Barn Manager.
