A Few Cartoon Mashups You’ll Get a Kick out Of

Cartoon mashups are something that a lot of people get a kick out of and are a lot of fun to watch when they do happen. They don’t seem to occur all that much anymore for some reason though. I can recall when the Jetsons and the Flintstones had a crossover and it was pretty funny. I know that G.I. Joe and the Transformers have had a crossover and that just became a giant mess. The only problem with crossovers and mashups is that essentially one or the other will have to assert some kind dominance and that means the lessening of the other. It should be easy to keep a certain amount of equilibrium but the truth of it is that the writers and the directors tend to have the biggest egos and of course they’ll want their program to be in charge.

Hey Arnold! to Futurama

I’m not too sure that this would be the right venue for a more kid-oriented cartoon like Arnold but it could be interesting I suppose. From the get-go I could see Bender spending a lot of time making fun of Arnold, either for this costume or just because of his big head. Aside from that he might be accepted as a guest into the cast but it would be a rocky start.

Bart Simpson to South Park

I get the feeling that Bart would take over South Park pretty quickly thanks to his mobility and more fluid action. Plus, if the boys thought they knew what trouble was before Bart showed up they’d have a lot to learn once the spiky-haired nuisance really got going. I get the feeling that Bart and Cartman wouldn’t get along all that well, but I don’t see how Cartman would come off all that great.

Batman to Peter Pan

Do you think that Batman would take Peter on as his sidekick? He’s already got the tights and the carefree attitude, but it might be a little too much for the dark knight since he’s more of a brooder. One thing is for sure though, with Batman in the neighborhood the pirates would be packing up and leaving pretty quickly rather than face off against a guy that could beat them up without swords and knives.

Jack Skellington to Whoville

This seems like it would be a showdown to see who could be the nastiest Santa on the block, and Jack might win without even trying. Seriously, you saw the gifts he left in the movie. How could the Grinch compete with that? He’s more of a miser than a person that really wants to cause harm. But then again Jack doesn’t really know what he’s doing so it kind of evens out.

Rick and Morty to Bedrock

I really would love to see what Fred would do to Rick and Morty when they try to talk to him. Honestly I think the writers would simply say that this is is a rogue Rick and Morty, while the real ones never got near Bedrock. It’d take the sting out of watching two cavemen give them a beatdown I guess.

Aren’t mashups fun?
