Zahn is kind of that unsung actor that a lot of people recognize and know about but few people ever talk about unless his name happens to come up. He’s more of a supporting actor than a lead but he’s been seen to be very good at what he does even if he doesn’t always get the credit he deserves. As an actor he’s been into the scene for quite a while, stemming back to the late 80’s in fact when he first got started. Things haven’t been as easy for him as they could be since he’s been more of an extra in many productions and has had only fleeting parts that see him there and gone in a very short period. Hopefully his time to shine a little more is coming.
To be honest however he’s already become somewhat known to fans that can easily recognize him.
5. He is Lakota-Irish.
That’s a rather unique mix it would seem and something that might make life a little difficult on a kid growing up between two different worlds. Apparently it sounds like his mother was Native American and his father was Irish, so quite often he got to visit and stay with his mother’s relatives for extended periods of time. I get the feeling that being half Irish and half Native American was kind of tough at times.
4. He had a rough childhood.
Nothing about him really goes into much detail concerning this, but sometimes adversity can create an individual that is more determined and capable of creating their own success. If that’s the case then Zahn is definitely one of those individuals since he’s been around for a while and has made a name for himself even if it isn’t that well known yet.
3. His drama teacher in high school was a big influence.
Sometimes the biggest influence in a young person’s life comes from the earliest experiences be they positive or negative. Thankfully it sounds like Zahn had a good teacher that showed him the value of learning and encouraged him to keep moving forward until he found what he wanted and went for it. That’s all it takes in some cases.
2. He had an alcohol problem until around 2000.
This is one of the many things that can derail any celebrity be they a big time star or someone that tends to be on the sidelines more often. The price of being an alcoholic or having any kind of trouble with alcohol is that it tends to stick with a person and doesn’t really go away until that individual decides to straighten their life out and leave it behind for good.
1. He has an impressive filmography.
Despite not being that well known except to his fans Zahn has a lot of acting credits to his name. His resume must look pretty impressive as well as full of many different smaller roles with some very key experiences in there as well.
Even if he never surpasses a supporting role it’s fair to say that Zahn has made his mark in Hollywood.
