There are 38 Other Crew members, and Jo is credited with “images courtesy of” for two episodes in 2015 and 2016. Jo Atherton has been tweeting about Oak Island since 2001. Her Twitter account includes a link to oakislandtreasure.co.uk, and that’s where we found the real info about Jo Atherton!
2. Jo Atherton created the Oak Island Treasure website in August of 2001.
She wanted to connect to international audiences, so they could discover the fascinating story about the island’s Money Pit mystery. She had read the story as a child, and she was hooked. She wanted to connect with other fans, and she has done that in spades. There are now more than 20 thousand Facebook followers of her website.
3. Jo lives in Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. She’s actually Joanna.
Her website has become a gathering point for fans from around the world. There are international Oak Island fans whose interest and research about the island’s theories and mysteries. They keep in touch with each other, and new results are posted on the Jo’s website and blog spot as they become available. It’s quite amazing to see the collected questions and answers, and to learn that meetings about the island also take place around the world whenever enthusiasts can make time to get together.
