Is it time for a reboot of the cartoon Rugrats that used to appear on Nickelodeon? Many people would eagerly shake their heads with an enthusiastic yes. The truth is, Rugrats was an immensely popular cartoon back in the day and for many people, it still represents a sense of safety and security, not to mention helping to entertain its audience. For all of these reasons, it deserves another chance.
After all, it had a good run the first time around. It was a successful show and its ratings were decent. Right now it seems like everybody from cartoons to movies are rebooting everything, so why not give this one a chance? A lot of people who always considered this their go to cartoon would be happy to see it come back. Make no mistake about it, it isn’t just kids that watch the show. A lot of adults watched it too. It is relatively easy to understand why. It was always somewhat entertaining looking at the world through the eyes of babies that weren’t really old enough to talk as far as their parents were concerned, yet were old enough to communicate openly with each other and have all kinds of different adventures as a group.
For a lot of people, the show actually got them thinking what it might be like in the mind of a real baby. One only has to wonder what babies think about when they look at the world that is so big and vast, yet they are not yet capable of communicating with that world so it makes it hard to fully understand it. As such, the show was considered something along the lines of creative genius.
Even if you don’t think it deserves a reboot for any of the above reasons, just think about the way the world is today. Sometimes, people just need a place to go where they can get away from reality for a while. This might provide the perfect solution for those individuals who are tired of hearing about all the troubles in the world and just want to relax for a little while.
All and all, Rugrats deserves a reboot on Nickelodeon because it was a solid cartoon to begin with and it deserves to have another shot at finding success again in this timeline. It managed to do it easily enough the first time around, so there is no reason to think that it would not be popular this time, too. In fact, many individuals that were fans of the original show would love to see it come back. The key is bringing it back the right way. People want to see an updated version of the cartoon they originally fell in love with, not something completely different by the same name. When it is all said and done, the overall success of a Rugrats reboot would indeed be determined by how much producers decided to change and how much would remain the same. With that being said, it is definitely worth giving a reboot a shot and seeing what happens. Who knows, they just might be able to recreate the magic that existed the first time around.
