The Top Uses of Lorde Songs in Movies or TV

It’s interesting to note that Lorde is one of the youngest performers to ever get so big so quickly but is also still killing it on stage and still climbing in her popularity. Her first song Royals was such a big hit that it crossed over almost immediately and became the one reason that people liked her so much and wanted to hear more. Thankfully she gladly obliged and has become one of the biggest pop stars to date with her slightly unusual acts and larger than life persona on the stage. She’s gone so far as to be welcomed on a host of talk shows and in concerts all over the globe. It’s fair to state at this point that she’s become as close to a legend as anyone living could be.

Just a slight push in the right direction and she might make that status very soon.

5. The Tonight Show-Perfect Places

The Tonight Show is very well known for its popular and even sometimes colorful guests. Lorde has created such an impression on so many people that she’s likely to have gigs lined up for days and even weeks at a time since so many people want her to perform or give her an exclusive on what kind of inspiration it took for her to become one of the youngest stars in her generation.

4. Saturday Night Live-Green Light

Saturday Night Live has had a wide variety of acts in its long history, but Lorde is probably one of the greatest and most anticipated in a long time. She hasn’t hit quite the same status as other bands and singers that have preceded her but she is high demand all the same and has been seen to be warmly welcomed by the viewing audience when she comes on stage.

3. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1-Yellow Flicker Beat

It kind of seems like this movie would have suffered a little more if not for a killer soundtrack, to which the addition of Lorde can be given some thanks. The Hunger Games was being criticized from the get go thanks to the fact that like so many movies it refused to go strictly off of the source material. If not for the soundtrack then it might not have gone that far.

2. The Royals-Everybody Wants to Rule the World

This is Lorde’s take on an older song but it hits like a bullwhip when she finally gets into it and brings even more feeling to the show’s trailer than you might have expected. The Royals is definitely a show you have to watch to fully understand but with one of Lorde’s most popular songs leading the intro you can at least get into it that much easier.

1. The Ellen Show-Royals

This was the song that got her famous to begin with and it’s still one of her absolute best. The only difference is that on an album the sound is a lot better and it is easier to get into. A live performance doesn’t tend to have the same benefits that are afforded by a sound studio, so the effect is just a little different.

It doesn’t matter where she’s at or what she’s singing, Lorde is just that good.
