With the starting date of Game of Thrones being pushed back to late 2018 to even early to mid-2019, the fate of Westeros is going to have to wait for a while. In the meantime the characters will be forced to look for other means of income as they try to make a living while waiting to take over the world. Hey, funding a war is hard work and requires a lot of sacrifice, but these characters are making it work for them in the meantime. A few even look happy at the prospect of their new profession.
Jon Snow
Jon almost looks like he’s a bit confused as to how he got to this point. Or maybe he’s thinking that sleeping with Daenerys felt a little strange, almost familiar in some way. Maybe Sam and Bran found a way to tell him and he’s still trying to absorb that tidbit of information.
Sansa Stark
Sansa looks amused to be up and doing something at least. It must beat the dreary, cold-ridden halls of Winterfell for now. Plus, maybe it would do Sansa a bit of good seeing how the other half lives for a while and allow her to appreciate the working class that keeps the royals so well fed and cared for.
Cersei Lannister
This is what tends to happen when you have no real friends. You have to wonder if the Mountain is somewhere near by waiting to scare off any light-fingered children. That could be why no one’s buying from her in the first place though, a nearly seven-foot monster could be bad for business.
Arya Stark
At least Arya is used to hard work at this point. She had to do something to survive after all when she was in Braavos. Plus she’s obviously come to realize that between starvation and security it doesn’t take as much to earn her way as she once believed.
Tyrion Lannister
Tyrion is another person that’s learned very quickly that life isn’t always about the creature comforts that you’ve experienced while growing up. It’s a hard and unforgiving place if you’re not going to pull your weight. Thankfully he learned from that particular lesson.
Petyr Baelish
Not sure why Petyr is here, but maybe he was resurrected by Melisandre somehow and allowed to flee Winterfell. That hunted look in his eyes says a lot. He’s not the type to openly confront anyone, and laying low like this would be in his best interests.
Brienne of Tarth
This is what happens when the people you’re charged with watching become old enough and tough enough to watch over themselves. If you’re no longer needed then you have to find something to do to pass the time.
Daenerys Targaryen
See? Dany’s having fun at least and getting into the spirit of things as she learns how to serve others. Even a queen must eventually learn how to serve her people, since that’s the ultimate use for monarchy in the eyes of so many. It would grant a lot of perspective to those in charge to lower themselves to the common folk now and again.
The Night King
It’d be kind of hard getting a regular job when your only real skills are leading an undead army and freezing everything in sight. There might be a few positions he could fill though. After all, who else could keep a container full of frozen treats cold in direct sunlight?
The Hound
A lot of people might discriminate against the Hound unfairly for his appearance, but they’d be justified when forced to deal with his attitude. He’d definitely be better working at a job where human interaction is minimized as much as possible.
So until season 8 starts the stars of GoT are just going to have to make ends meet.
