If you’ve heard the name it’s likely that you might be a Star Trek fan or just like to watch a lot of darker, somehow funny shows. Fuller has had a rather impressive career to date and it’s even more so because he has taken a rather unconventional route at times. Obviously the “right” way to do things isn’t always the only way as Fuller’s success can attest to, but a lot of it could be luck or just the fact that he’s that good of a writer and has been in the right place at the right time with the right material. However it’s happened he has become one of the best that Hollywood has to offer and is only bound to get better as the years roll by.

5. He confesses to being a Trekkie.
Bryan has actually gone into detail about how Star Trek figurines used to line his bookshelves due to his love for the series. As an older and more developed series Star Trek has been gathering fans steadily since its inception and has influenced a great number of people to become writers, actors, and find even more inventive ways to be a part of the Trekkie universe. Fuller has even written for Star Trek: Voyager in the past and even placed a submission for Deep Space Nine when the show was accepting open submissions.
4. Likes to write quirky, dark humor into his scripts.
Fuller likes to go dark but he also likes to keep the humor evident in his work. This is definitely a quirk that helps to gain a different fan base and attracts more people willing to have a good time while laughing at subject material that might otherwise be found kind of dark and depressing. Fuller knows how to keep it serious but just light enough that a person can find the enjoyment in his work. That’s the mark of a good writer.
3. He has a very impressive resume.
His scripts have been read and acted out by some of the biggest stars in Hollywood and it’s fair to say that he knows how to get people’s attention with his writing. He has a long list of movies and TV shows for which he’s gained credit and he is still continuing to write and even produce as his career keeps advancing forward.

This is the unconventional manner I was speaking of earlier. A lot of people seem to think that going to school and getting your degree is the only key to success. It definitely works, but it’s not the only way. Fuller was one of the many that found success in a different way than prescribed and it seems to be working out for him just fine.
1. A lot of his work revolves around the idea of death.
Some might find this morbid but others find it intriguing. Death is a subject that a lot of people don’t like to talk about or watch in film, but Fuller incorporates it in such a way that it is worth watching and even giving further thought once the last act is finished. It’s not so much that he has a morbid sense of humor, but rather that he seeks a new way to approach the subject. That’s quite refreshing really.
