Five Star Wars Characters We’d Like to See Solo Movies About

It doesn’t matter if you’re a Star Wars nerd or just a casual watcher there are those who adore the franchise and would absolutely love to see more about it. There are so many different characters that are worthy of so much more exposure than their getting that one would almost think that Lucas and/or Disney would be more open to more ideas about expanding this beloved universe. With that in mind the desire to see a few more stories be fleshed out within the canon would be something that most fans would jump on.

Here are our picks for five Star Wars characters that deserve their own movies

Darth Maul

There wasn’t quite as much development on this character as fans would like. While it’s true he was revealed to have a brother and his home planet of origin was revealed, his childhood and training are still large question marks that only the comic books seem fit to answer. His relationship to the emperor is more than enough to fuel a story and drive fans wild with the revelation of how he came to hate the Jedi and how he was turned into a living weapon.

Ahsoka Tano

At one point and time she felt like an add-on that wasn’t really needed, but as time has gone on she has become a very integral part of the story. While the cartoon, Rebels, has fleshed her out a bit more, the entire life of Ahsoka Tano is something that fans and viewers would very much like to see further explored. Just how did she become the plucky, rebellious young scamp that would eventually steal the hearts of so many?

Chewbacca

There might be an argument that Chewie had his own flick way back when during the time when fans were introduced to his family and his son. But in truth, the haphazard way this film was done left a bad taste in the mouths of many fans and just barely deserves to be mentioned. A film that shows how Chewbacca came to be who he is now would be undeniably awesome and would please a lot of people.

Boba Fett

There are rumors that the best bounty hunter in the galaxy will in fact be getting his own film, but so far nothing seems to have been set in stone. It’s safe to say that if this movie doesn’t get pushed forward a lot of fans, a LOT of fans, are going to nearing the riot stage and writing Disney en masse with complaints. There’s really no reason not to put a story such as this together considering that even in the new canon, Boba Fett is one of the baddest men in the galaxy.

Chirrut Imwe

Although he’s a newcomer to the Star Wars franchise the fans’ response to him has been overwhelmingly positive. Not only is he a great warrior and a noble character, but he’s interesting enough considering that he’s not a Jedi, but he has a great connection to the force that seems to pull him through most of Rogue One. If not his own film, then he would be great in another prequel or a related Star Wars film.

Conclusion

There are a host of characters that fans would like to learn more about. It’s not enough that these characters are explained in the comics and the novels, fans want to see them up and walking, talking, and of course trying to save the galaxy, or dominate it.
