Ever since Pixar has admitted to connecting every single one of their movies, it’s a foregone conclusion that Easter eggs are going to appear in every single film from now on that links one film to another film. The challenge for us is going to be finding such links. But isn’t that part of all the fun? In Pixar’s latest film, Cars 3, we see a familiar “character” from another Pixar classic, Toy Story. I’m sure you’re all very familiar with Pizza Planet. In fact Pizza Planet’s been featured in numerous Pixar films. However, it’s not just Pizza Planet we’re seeing, but their delivery truck.
The Pizza Planet Truck is a pizza delivery vehicle first seen in the original Toy Story, since then it has appeared as an Easter egg in nearly ever Pixar movie. It was nearly a foregone conclusion that the vehicle would show up in Cars 3 and a new clip that’s been released of the film shows us exactly where. As part of a demolition derby. The truck comes flying across the screen quickly, but the recognizable Pizza Planet Rocket Ship is clearly visible on the top of the car. We first saw the Pizza Planet Truck in the original Toy Story when Buzz and Woody hitched a ride in one after finding themselves on their own away from Andy’s house
