When the unicorn latte came out at Starbucks I think it’s safe to say that many coffee drinkers became nauseous. However, at the same time the novelty of the product led millions to buy them not to mention how popular these things were on social media. Remember, even bad press is good press. What stemmed from the unicorn latte was a surge of unicorn or really just multi-colored food products that has been completely unnecessary and way too popular for its own good.
Can we just put an end to rainbow food please? Thankfully the unicorn food craze has met its match in the shape of a lovable carb shaped like Groot. Everyone’s favorite little Marvel tree made its bread debut over Memorial Day weekend at Disney California Adventure in conjunction with its new “Guardians of the Galaxy MISSION: BREAKOUT” attraction.
The rather large savory treat includes black olive eyes and jalapeno-cheddar hair (though there are also social media reports of a vegan version). The sourdough bread is baked at the onsite Boudin Bakery and sold out within mere hours. You can buy the bread at Fairfax Market in Hollywoodland and Groot-shaped bread at Cosmic Canteen.
