I wasn’t sure whether or not to classify this video as a sports video or a music video. It’s obviously a little bit of both. However, it’s playoff time and I had to go with sports to pay homage to Draymond Green. While the Golden State Warriors have their “stars” in Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson, everyone knows who the true anchor of that team is. It’s without a doubt Draymond Green. He’s the defensive catalyst and energy leader of that squad. Without him, you’re not going to see Golden State win a ring this year. Put it all together and it explains why their point differential falls by 10.3 points per 100 possessions when he’s on the bench. And according to Rolling Stone
It’s also why he’s perfect to star as Kendrick Lamar in a “Humble” parody made by Athletes Underground. In the one minute video, Green raps about his defensive dominance — “Check my point allowances, you’ll see I’m not allowing s**t” — his blocks that go viral — “I’ll make a highlight fucking up your whole life” — how Kevin Durant’s arrival didn’t stop him from breaking records this season — “First triple-double ever done not including points” — and a whole lot more. It’s basically his Game 1 performance against the Portland Trail Blazers in music form.
