“And now I’d like to tell you a story about Eddie, and his adventures in the great wide open.” That’s the first line you hear in the video for the song “Into the Great Wide Open” by Tom Petty. Why do I bring this up? Because I’m starting a new section on this website entitled “Feature Film Idea” where I explore ideas for full featured movies. These ideas can come from anywhere really but the main reason I’m writing them down here is so I can sue any Hollywood studio who steals my idea, makes a movie out of it, and doesn’t pay me. So let’s start with my very first movie idea.
Why not make this music video a feature film? A fictional story about the rise and fall of a musician named Eddie. You can easily have Johnny Depp play the role which I think he’d love to do. You can feature how he made it to the top and exactly how he began his downward spiral into drinking, drugs, and irresponsible decisions. Hell I’d love to see Faye Dunaway in this one as well assuming she was up for it.
