If you’re a lover of horror and you’re a lover of anime, then there’s no chance you wouldn’t be a fan of Tokyo Ghoul. For those that have followed the series they’ll be lucky to know that a live-action film is set to be released sometime in June of 2017. There’s no U.S. release date set (if any) but I’m sure there will be a way to watch the Japanese one. If you don’t know what Tokyo Ghoul is, according to Geek:
For the uninitiated, Tokyo Ghoul is one of the goriest shows you’ll have the pleasure of getting into, so keep that in mind before delving in. If you’re squeamish or faint of heart, you might find something like Sankarea or something a little less gross is more your speed. If that sounds perfect, consider running full speed ahead through this narrative as you follow Ken Kaneki through his transformation into a ghoul, eating humans here and there, looking for ways to stay sane while adjusting to his new life. It’s great. I promise.
But that’s not the only thing that Tokyo Ghoul is about. It’s about finding a life for yourself and realizing that there are number of paths for a ghoul. Eating human flesh and engaging in cannibalistic activity isn’t always the choice you have to make.
As you can image, a live-action version of this is quite freaky. Check out the trailer below.
