There’s something very weird going on here and we need to get to the bottom of this. You’ll remember a time when Tom Brady had a “Make America Great Again” hat in his locker right? And you’ll remember that Bill Belichick made it no secret that he was a Donald Trump supporter. In fact Donald Trump himself has bragged numerous times about his relationship with Tom Brady. During Trump’s campaign it was one of his “selling points” to lure voters in his direction.
However, it was pretty obvious that Brady tried to distance himself from the president when their friendship became a hotly debated talking point during Trump’s presidential run and later victory. Not long after Trump was elected, Brady told local reporters he was done talking about politics and about Trump for good. And now this statement comes out this morning?

I’m pretty sure there’s nothing Brady wouldn’t do to protect that squeaky clean image of himself. At the same time Tom Brady is one of the smartest NFL Quarterbacks who has ever lived. He has to see what kind of a man Donald Trump is. I mean it’s a lot more challenging to run an NFL offense than it is to figure out that Donald Trump isn’t the most honest man on the planet. As for Belichick? Hmmmm.
P.S. “personal matter” is just another way of saying, “no chance I go to this guy’s house right now.”
