General Hospital spoilers are a bit sad for Wednesday. It turns out that Sonny is going to be the man who files for divorce from Carly. She doesn’t want to be married to him anymore now that she’s convinced he had a one night stand with Nelle. He didn’t, but even he doesn’t know that. She tricked them all, and she’s not doing anything to redeem herself by telling them she made the entire thing up to try and take them down. Carly is done with Sonny. It’s been too much for them this year, and she cannot take being married to him anymore. Now he is going to take the initiative and file for the dreaded divorce he doesn’t want. He’ll do anything to make her happy, and that means doing exactly what he doesn’t want to do.
What we want to know, though, is what is going on. We hear that Nelle is going to tell Michael soon that she’s not being honest about that situation, and that she did not sleep with Sonny. And Carly just told her friend she’s not ready to make her divorce official yet, but Sonny is making sure it goes through as quickly as possible. He wants their marriage over, because he’s tired of her making him suffer for everything that she feels he did. Will their divorce become official before the news that he did not sleep with Nelle comes out, or will it be too late for them?
We wonder if Sonny is just presenting her with divorce papers to shock her into wanting to get back together. Now that it appears he wants to move on, will she be able to sit back and realize she’s not ready to make the end of her marriage a thing, or will she decide she’s still stringing him along? We do think that Sonny has been working hard behind the scenes to figure out a way to get her to come back to him, but this might be a plan that doesn’t work out for him if she does sign and doesn’t come back.
