Before I get into this photo I just wanted to share some Better Call Saul news. I thought AMC was going to have a normal Breaking Bad marathon next week then I saw the list of episodes and I wondered why they were skipping so many. Then I realized they were all the Saul episodes. So if you didn’t know about this, now you know. There’s gonna be a ton of Saul on AMC for those of you wanting to catch up or need a refresher. P.S. can they please put season 2 on Netflix already? I’m gonna need some reminders before season 3. Now let’s get back to the picture you see above.
Someone in a recent forum brought up a very interesting point about Jimmy’s logo. Is it possibly a metaphor for what his life trajectory is? Luckily we have an additional image with the actual plot points mixed in.
In case you have trouble reading this here’s what it says. The beginning downward spiral is known as “Slipping Jimmy.” This is his life essentially going down the toilet and him not catching a single break. But then things are looking up a little after “Chuck gets Jimmy out of the prison thing.” So what happens after that? Jimmy goes from working in the mail room to eventually becoming a lawyer. Then Chuck tells the truth, Marco dies, the dating of Kim, end of season 2 seems like he’s on high note. Then the graph takes a sudden dive in season 3 when Jimmy becomes “Saul.”
For the record, this isn’t my theory. Do you guys buy this at all? One thing I find interesting is that the graph isn’t complete yet. There’s still some wet paint on the wall. Are we looking too far into this? Who cares? It’s fun.
