This was the message from Liz Wrightson
Dear friends,
I regret that I am unable to notify each of you personally, but I’m so devastated: I have to announce the loss of my beloved Bernie. He was my best friend. He passed early in the evening of March 18, 2017 after about a week in hospice. His full obituary can be found here: www.berniewrightson.com John and I went to his favorite local drinkin’ hole, bought him a beer, and poured it, in the shape of our hearts, into the soil:
The tributes from fans today has been astounding and we can only conclude that there will be many more throughout the day and next week. Here are some fan reactions and posts on social media including those from big names like Joss Whedon, Guillermo Del Torro, Patton Oswalt, and others. He will be missed.
