Honestly there’s nothing to make fun of here. Melania Trump did a good thing yesterday in stopping by an NYC hospital to read to sick children. People have been making fun of the FLOTUS for a very very long time now. Well before she was even the first lady Melania’s taken heat for posing nude, having immigration issues, not speaking English well, and about 100 other things. Most of the criticism has been deserved but I think collectively we’re all starting to feel bad for this woman.
That’s why I wanted to share this clip. Not only because it’s new but because at this point I feel like Melania is just so backed into a corner that she has no choice but to try and carry on and set a good example as a solid First Lady. This isn’t the first time a first lady has read to sick children in a hospital but it’s definitely the first time we’ve seen Melania do it.
If I may interject for a tiny bit of humor, isn’t it just completely odd hearing that broken English read “Oh the places you’ll go?” It just doesn’t sound right. Nothing wrong with Melania having an accent but it’s still weird that she’s the FLOTUS.
