So far the reviews for Logan have been outstanding. People are saying that this is Hugh Jackman’s finest performance as Wolverine and that we’ve literally “waited 17 years for this.” It seems that all the trailers, hype, images, leaks, everything you can imagine, were all for good reason. While we wait to see just how much money and praise the film gathers, Logan star Hugh Jackman had a chance to stop by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night to talk about his preparation for the role.
Of all the topics the two talked about one of the most interesting is the training regimen that Jackman goes through for Wolverine. When X-Men began in 2000 Jackman just looked like a mere mortal. While he had an above average physique it’s nothing compared to how he’s looked in his last 5 or so stints as Wolverine.
Many have speculated steroid us but over these years Jackman has shared videos of his workouts. Whether it’s steroids or not, the transformation has been remarkable. Speaking of which, when preparing for a shirtless scene, it took Jackman literally three months of training to get ready.
He and Colbert talk about it in the clip below:
Hugh Jackman also talks about how his son says he’s nothing like Wolverine
