Conan O’Brien’s “Made in Mexico” got off to a hilarious start yesterday as the show has taken their staff south of the border to tour the country and speak with and interact with everyone they can. While a handful of the focus will certainly be on Trump, hence why this trip even exists in the first place, don’t think for a second that Conan wouldn’t be getting involved in a myriad of hilarious skits. Even before the trip began to air, Conan had some Lucha underground wrestlers do a promo that was a huge hit on the internet. O’Brien then continued his relationship with athletes by engaging in a local pick up soccer game.
Of course Conan was well prepared as he wore a tight black shirt, extremely short shorts, and some vintage pink socks. As you’ll see, Conan is not very good at soccer, but he did set up Mexican national team player Gionvani Dos Santos with a pretty sweet pass. And, even if it cost him 5,000 pesos, the late-night talk show managed to put the ball in the back of the net.
Considering Conan hasn’t played soccer since 1974 this wasn’t that bad a showing. But all in all it was one of his funnier segments.
