If you didn’t fall in love with Yvonne Strahovski on Chuck then you most certainly must have fallen in love with her during her time on Dexter. If you didn’t see her in either of these then there’s probably something wrong with you and you really need to get on that. Good news today for Strahovski fans. According to THR, she’s in final negotiations to join the sci-fi action thriller The Predator which will be directed by Shane Black. . She will be playing Jacob Tremblay’s mom in the film.
You might recall I had concerns about a Shane Black Predator. I still do have concerns but I’m a humongous fan of Yvonne. OK, she’s not a good enough reason to watch this film but did I say I’m a fan of hers? With regard to how her role will be portrayed that’s where it’s a little murky. They say that Tremblay plays “a troubled boy who is accidentally drawn into the conflict with the fierce alien creatures by his father – her ex-husband,” who is played by Boyd Holbrook. That just sounds really weird. I don’t know how I feel about a little kid and The Predator. Just doesn’t fit. The movie’s not out until Feb of 2018 so they’ve got time to iron that out.
