The Lionsgate reboot of the Power Rangers is only about a month away and it appears that the studio is beginning to ramp up their marketing efforts. Recently more promotional art has surfaced online as well as a few looks at what some of the Power Rangers merchandise is going to look like. According to Comic Book Movie
The latest batch of photos features the Red (Dacre Montgomery), Pink (Naomi Scott), and Blue Rangers (RJ Cyler) striking new battle-ready poses. We also get a group shot that gives us a pretty neat new tagline: “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall…” The origin of the new art is a bit uncertain, but they might be designs for upcoming t-shirts.
While the Power Rangers have been an extraordinarily successful franchise from a television perspective, the films just haven’t matched TV’s success. Lionsgate and a new director are hoping to change all of that. Only time will tell but expect a lot of Power Rangers news to start appearing in the next few weeks.
Here’s the official description of the movie
Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
