Supernatural Sneak Peek: Dean and Castiel Help Mary Adjust to the New World

Supernatural

Mary’s return at the end of last season’s Supernatural finale was such a huge shock to not only viewers but Dean himself. However, as surprised and confused as Dean might be about Mary coming back to life, she’s even more astonished and perplexed by the situation than he is.

In this clip from tonight’s Season 12 premiere, “Keep Calm and Carry On,” it’s clear that Mary is still in disbelief that she’s actually alive and back on earth. Even though she’s heard stories about people returning from the dead before, she never thought she’d be one of them. Not to mention, how life has changed over the past 30 years since her death is a little overwhelming for her to take in at first.

“This must be difficult for you,” Castiel says to Mary. “I remember my first moments on earth. It was jarring.”

“That’s one word for it,” she tells him, still clearly stunned by everything around her.

Will Mary be able to adjust to life in the 21st century faster than expected, or will it be a continuous challenge for her? And even though we see Castiel trying to relate to her in this scene, how will hunting alongside her now adult sons, Sam and Dean, affect Mary? Will it make taking on this new world easier for her, or will it just cause more problems? We’ll have to wait and see.

Supernatural Season 12 premieres tonight at 9 p.m. on The CW. Check out the sneak peek and the official description for “Keep Calm and Carry On” below:
