America’s Got Talent: Judge Cuts Continue as Reba Guest Judges.

America's Got Talent

The Judge Cuts continue on tonight’s episode of America’s Got Talent. The guest judge for the night is country music legend, Reba McEntire. Twenty more acts will try their darndest to make sure that they go through to the live shows. Can they do it?

I was thoroughly impressed by Steven Brundage’s performance tonight. I have no idea how he managed to solve a Rubik’s Cube in mid-air. Both he and Jon Dorenbo could teach at America’s version of Hogwarts if Harry Potter were real. Shame he didn’t get to go through to the live shows. To be honest, I was a shocked that the judges picked Julia Scotti over Steven. Her jokes were amusing, but they didn’t make me laugh to the point where I couldn’t breathe.

I was even more shocked that they put Velo Vaher through to the live shows. Yes, what he does is tough, but he’s just doing the same thing over and over. At least Sofie Dossi added a flaming arrow and a large metal hoop to her act. Speaking of Sofie, the young self-taught contortionist earned herself a Golden Buzzer from Reba. I would’ve pressed it for Kadan Rockett and his magic act instead.

When Deadly Games performed, I was afraid that things would go wrong. The husband mentioned that the Spinning Board of Death came loose during rehearsal. My heart was pounding as I waited to see if tragedy would strike. Thankfully, everything went well, and they earned a spot in the live shows.

As the episode progressed, there were a couple of acts that didn’t do so well the second time around. The comedian, Adam Grabowski, completely bombed tonight. I’d wager that it might have something to do with nerves, I can’t be certain. #NotAPsychic. Another act that didn’t do well tonight was magic duo Cecil and Mighty. I don’t remember why the judges put them through the first time. Their performance was extremely low par.

More Judge Cuts are on the way as twenty more acts perform for a chance to move on. Next week’s guest judge is funnyman George Lopez. It’s amusing that the celebrity judge is in a silhouette on television even though we already know who they are. Good job, show, good job.
