Norman Reedus Tells Stephen Colbert About His Crazy Road Trip to Nashville on The Late Show

Stephen Colbert

The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night to talk about his new reality show Ride With Norman Reedus. The new series, which premieres this Sunday at 10 p.m. on AMC, follows Reedus as he explores the “local biker culture and its history and celebrate some of the best and brightest collectors, mechanics and motorcycle craftsmen around the country.”

Due to the fact that Reedus plays one of the toughest characters on The Walking Dead and seems to be a very manly man in his real life as well, Colbert asked the actor for some tips about how to up his own manliness. Reedus told him that there isn’t any sort of secret to being manly; he just tries to be himself, and it turns out that he is very spontaneous.

In fact, as Reedus told Colbert last night on The Late Show, one of the most spontaneous things he’s ever done is ditch his plane ticket to Nashville for the Country Music Awards, where he was presenting one of the awards during the show, and instead ride his motorcycle there from Georgia. As Reedus explains, along the way, he began to encounter more and more fans until there was enough of them rooting him on that it was like he was Forrest Gump.
