Even though Zachary Quinto is getting his “freak on” for this Thursday’s all-new episode of Lip Sync Battle, it doesn’t seem to be stressing Zoe Saldana out too much. Forgetting the musical puns for a second, it does appear that this week’s hour-long match-up between the two Star Trek Beyond stars (Saldana plays Uhura while Quinto is Spock) will be pretty epic.
While we got a taste of what Quinto has in store for Saldana with a sneak peek clip on Monday, we now have our first glimpse of what she’ll be performing on Thursday night. The sneak peek below gives us a 30-second snippet of Saldana lip syncing along to the Twenty One Pilots song “Stressed Out,” and while it’s not as theatrical or extravagant as Quinto’s rendition of “Get Ur Freak On,” there’s no denying how well Saldana actually syncs her lips to the music. Plus, seeing as she was sitting next to TLC and wearing what looked like the outfit from the “No Scrubs” video during that clip from Quinto’s performance, there’s a good chance that we haven’t seen everything she has in store yet.
Lip Sync Battle is hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Tiegen and typically airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on Spike. However, this week’s special episode featuring Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto will air from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, ahead of the Guys’ Choice Awards.
